Tom Welling is like Kryptonite to his wife — she’s filed to divorce the “Smallville” star … TDEN has learned.
Jamie White Welling filed the docs on October 16, and in the papers she cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their break-up.
Jamie is asking for spousal support.
According to the docs, Tom and Jamie separated in December 2012 after 10 years of marriage.
Tom and Jamie spent most of their time in Vancouver … near where “Smallville” was filmed — but moved to L.A. in 2011.
The estranged couple does not have any kids.
Casey Kasem will die in the next few months … this according to a rep for Casey’s wife Jean.
As was reported, Casey and Jean were sued by a former caregiver who claimed she was mistreated and cheated by Jean during her employment with the couple. The housekeeper, Hilda Loza, sued in small claims court and the case was heard Friday.
Jean did not appear at the hearing. The wife of her lawyer appeared on Jean’s behalf. The woman told the judge … Jean wanted a continuance for a few months because that’s how long it will take for “the situation to resolve or end, unfortunately.”
If that seems a little cryptic, Jean submitted legal docs in which she said, “My husband is terminally ill and unable to leave home.”
The case was thrown out because Hilda didn’t properly serve the Kasem’s with the lawsuit. She has the right to try again, but it looks like the clock is ticking.
You know Sharon Osbourne is loving this — TDEN has learned her former “America’s Got Talent” makeup artist is now suing her arch-nemesis … insisting it’s AGT’s fault he suffered a nasty workplace accident.
Jude Alcala — who did makeup for ‘AGT’ in 2012 (including Sharon’s) — filed the lawsuit against NBC as well as producers Syco Entertainment and FremantleMedia, claiming he accidentally stepped into a hole in the stage last June … and fell 6 feet, permanently injuring himself.
According to the lawsuit, NBC and producers negligently maintained the stage without proper warning signs — and therefore … it’s their fault the accident happened.
Sources close to Alcala tell us, the makeup artist broke his femur during the fall, and damaged his shoulder so badly it required surgery.
We’re told Sharon (who famously left ‘AGT’ on bitter terms last year) lent her full support to Jude after the accident.
Jude is suing for negligence and more, demanding unspecified damages. Calls to NBC and Fremantle were not returned.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough earns $99,038 PER WEEK from his show — this according to divorce docs obtained by TMZ — but the crazier part … his soon-to-be ex-wife will only see a tiny fraction of it.
The 50-year-old former Florida congressman quietly filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years Susan Waren back in September 2012. They have 2 minor kids (a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old).
But according to the divorce docs, Joe’s pretty much making off like a bandit. For starters, the divorce docs state Joe will NOT be paying child support, and what his alimony amounts to is a morsel of his enormous salary.
According to the docs, Joe will fork over $30,000 per month for 5 years, then $25,000 per month for 2 years. Joe also gave her a lump sum of $150k, and he’s paying the mortgage on their Connecticut home, and for the kids’ schooling.
They share joint legal custody … and are still living together with the kids.
Couple of interesting clauses in the divorce papers — Susan “acknowledges” Joe was faithful, devoted, and committed.” A sentence perhaps intended to quiet allegations Joe was cheating.
Also, when Joe and Susan are both in the Conn. home there are some house rules: Neither can enter the others bedroom, barring a kid related emergency … and after 7 PM they’re each banned from the others side of the house.
Pretty boy Bieber may not be such a pretty boy after all.
Justin Bieber is being accused of taking a “cheap shot” at popular DJ Michael Woods’ manager this week in South Korea — but we’re told that just ain’t true … not exactly, anyway.
Woods unloaded this morning on Twitter claiming Biebs “muscled” his way into the DJ booth Thursday night and requested he play hip hop music … but when he told Justin to “f**k off and put some clothes on” Bieber attacked his manager.
However … the party’s host Ben Baller tells us Woods is blowing the whole thing WAY out of proportion — and claims not one sucker punch was thrown.
Baller admits Biebs and Woods did have a heated exchange over the music — but is adamant things were squashed before anything got physical.
For what it’s worth … Bieber got behind the turntables once Woods wrapped his set and played some hip hop.
Bieber gets what Bieber wants.
Kobe Bryant has Chinese envy — at least when it comes to basketball — claiming the rules in the Far East make it a real man’s game … because “out here, you can’t even touch a motherf**ker.”
Kobe’s diss to the NBA came during a candid moment in Vegas with Floyd Mayweather earlier this week … when the two began talking about the differences between basketball in China vs. the NBA.
“They let you play over there,” Kobe said … adding, “out here they change the rules up and sh*t. You can’t even touch a motherf**ker. You can’t touch a n***a.”
Kinda strange coming from Kobe … considering he has a reputation for begging NBA refs for calls.
The Jonas Brothers – Kevin, Joe and Nick — are close to breaking up … they are going in 3 different directions and the band has lost its identity according to sources close to the group.
The Brothers Jonas just cancelled their entire upcoming tour — 19 concerts, which was supposed to kick off Friday.
Our sources say … the rift exploded over the release of their next batch of songs. Each brother had a different vision of where they wanted to take the band, ranging from pop to hard rock. They all agreed on one thing — releasing anything new would be a disaster, because the style would be all over the place.
The concert cancellation may be a precursor to an official breakup, but so far no decision has been made. Our sources say the guys are meeting this weekend to try and hash things out.
We’re told, “It could go either way.”
The JoBros performed last night in Minneapolis … and gave what could be their last interview as a group.
Ex-New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez just took the witness stand for the first time in his high-profile murder case … and told the court he’s not mentally ill.
During the hearing, the judge peppered Hernandez with a barrage of questions about his overall health and mental state. Hernandez — who was pretty composed on the stand — insisted he’s A-OK.
Hernandez has pled not guilty to the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.
If convicted … Hernandez faces life in prison. When asked if he understood the gravity of the situation, Hernandez told the judge he got it.
Bruce Jenner told people at an event over the weekend, “I’m finally free to do what I want and live life the way I want.”
Bruce and his sons were at Virginia International Raceway — Bruce was racing a Lamborghini during the events. Bruce was hanging at the Lamborghini tent with a bunch of girls.
Bruce made it clear to several people in the tent … his life is now different from the way it had been for years. He said he was getting closer to his sons — something he hadn’t done when they were growing up, which caused a major problem in their relationship.
Bruce did not reveal he was separated from Kris, but the people present said it was shocking how open he was about how different his life was now, and how open he was in “flirting” with the girls.
One last thing … a well-placed source who works on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” told us Bruce became extremely open about living on his terms after his most recent cancer bout last month … which could explain why suddenly Bruce and Kris revealed the separation.
A 9-year-old boy hopped on a Delta flight to Las Vegas without his parents or even a boarding pass on Thursday, CBS Minnesota reports.
The boy was able to pass through security checkpoints at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and get onto a plane headed for Nevada without being detected.
However, the flight crew became suspicious of the child, who was not on their roster of unattended minors. They contacted the Las Vegas police department, who delivered the boy to child protection services upon landing, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Airports Commission, Patrick Hogan, said.
The Minneapolis police were also contacted and went to the boy’s residence. The parents reported to the officers that they “hadn’t seen much of him today.”
Video footage shows that the boy had also visited the airport the previous day, Hogan said. He grabbed a traveler’s bag from the carousel and had lunch outside of security checkpoints. When it came time to pay, he told the server he had to use the restroom and skipped out on the check, leaving the bag behind. The suitcase was returned to its owner and nothing had been stolen.
“Obviously, the fact that the child’s actions weren’t detected until he was in flight is concerning,” Hogan said in a statement reported by CNN. “I don’t know of another instance in my 13 years at the airport in which anything similar has happened,” he added, noting that 33 million people travel through Minneapolis’ airport each year
